Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the ADV Vet mobile app. Read them; they protect both of us. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. Who can use ADV Vet

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By signing up you confirm you are 13 or older and that everything you tell us about yourself is honest.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Don't share your password.
• Don't create more than one account to evade a block or moderation action.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Acceptable use

When you post a route, comment, group ride, photo, or any other content, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or dox another rider.
• Post hate speech, sexual content, or content that promotes violence.
• Post spam, scams, or unsolicited advertising.
• Post other people's private information.
• Misrepresent road conditions, route legality, or safety in a way that could foreseeably cause harm.
• Upload content you don't have the rights to.
• Use the app for any illegal purpose.

Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Repeat violations end the account.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting, you grant ADV Vet a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and share that content within the app for as long as you keep it posted. Delete the content and the license ends.

5. Riding safety — the important part

ADV Vet is a logging and planning tool, not a navigation system or safety device. Routes published by other riders are user-generated: their conditions, road status, legal access, and difficulty rating are their opinion, not ours.

• Always check road conditions, weather, fuel, and legal access before riding an unfamiliar route.
• Always ride within your skill level and your bike's capability.
• Wear your gear. Carry recovery and first aid.
• Do not use the app while operating the motorcycle. Pull over.
• Cell service and GPS can fail. Carry a paper map and/or a dedicated GPS where being stranded matters.

You ride at your own risk.

6. Third-party services

When you tap "Open in Maps" or "Share GPX", you hand off route data to Apple Maps, Google Maps, or another GPS app. We are not responsible for those apps' behavior, accuracy, or terms. Sign in with Apple / Google is governed by their respective terms.

7. Service availability

We do our best to keep the app running. We do not promise uptime or that any specific feature will keep working. We may add, remove, or change features at any time. If we shut down for good, we will give 30 days' notice and a way to export your ride history.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ADV Vet and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages; loss of profits, data, or goodwill; or personal injury, property damage, or death arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability is capped at the greater of US $50 or the amount you have paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Indemnity

If a third party brings a claim against us because of content you posted or your use of the app in violation of these terms, you agree to defend and indemnify us against that claim.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. We may terminate or suspend your access for violations of these terms or applicable law.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington. EU/UK consumer protections still apply where mandatory.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll bump the Last updated date and surface a notice in the app. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.
